Does Online Hypnotherapy Work?
Yes! But how?! Don’t you have to wave things in front of me or drop an arm or something?
No, that is not required. There are many different ways to enter the trance state and for online hypnotherapy I just stick to using a guided relaxation. You sit there comfy at home on a zoom call with me and I guide you to relax the different muscle groups in your body. All you have to do is listen and follow what I’m guiding you to do.
The major perk is you get to save lots of time not having to commute to an office for sessions and you can be anywhere in the world. This allows you to find someone who is the perfect fit for you instead of being limited to local options. Most of my clients are high-powered business owners and parents, so maximizing their use of time is vital.
What is a Hypnotherapist?
A Hypnotherapist is someone who receives 500+ hours of training usually from a state certified school and has diplomas and certifications in hypnotherapy. They are certified by a board who provides oversight and has continuing education requirements. A Hypnotherapist will use more powerful and transformational techniques than a Hypnotist. Typically you’ll need between 6-10 hypnosis sessions to achieve what you want with Hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapists can help with a wide range of issues. Do you struggle with feeling anxious in social situations?
Or are you constantly worrying about the worst case scenarios, spending energy on being prepared for every possibility?

These are just a few of the ways I’ve seen anxiety pop up for clients. Typically it stems from beliefs that you are not good enough, unwanted, unworthy and many more.
Hypnotherapy is a great way to flip these beliefs and heal through any trauma that led to the creation of them. Most clients I work with have some level of anxiety stemming from these low self-esteem thoughts that developed in childhood. I create custom therapeutic suggestions in each session for my clients and deliver these to them while they are in hypnosis. The suggestions instill positive ideas about yourself and your abilities. This part of the session is recorded, so that you can accelerate your healing by listening to them in between sessions. Repetition is key to experiencing the rapid transformation that hypnotherapy can provide.
For example, I had a client that would smoke only in social situations and wanted to stop. Through discussion it came to light that they did it to fit in as well as suppress the uncomfortable emotions that they wouldn’t be liked or accepted for who they were. In hypnosis I helped them to process through the emotions and release them. And then we instilled ideas of loving and accepting themself as well as knowing their friends liked them and wanted to be around them. With just one session, in this case, they were able to let go of smoking and enjoy hanging out with their friends.
Hypnotherapy is a great option to deal with anxiety if you struggle with it. It’s been one of the most effective resources I’ve personally found for dealing with my own.
How to motivate yourself to workout when depressed?
Feeling empty and numb? Know that working out helps you feel better, but just can’t care enough to make yourself do it?
You can take one step forward and get some hypnosis recordings for motivation and feeling depressed to use at home. This might just be the oomph you need to get back to it.
I’ve found that depression often stems from knowing you need to make a change in your life, but being unable to make yourself take the step you need to. Doing online hypnotherapy for depression can help release the fears and beliefs holding you in place and set you free to move forward in your life.
Another client of mine came to me because they hated their job, but were afraid to leave it. They had low motivation to do anything else in life and often cried or felt everything was too much. Doing hypnotherapy helped them release the fear that was holding them in the terrible job and take the step to start applying elsewhere. Each session increased their motivation to move jobs, find a new one that was a great fit for them and get back to doing things they enjoyed, like working out daily. After four sessions they had found a new job, given their notice and were rebuilding their life they loved.
What to do instead of emotional eating?
Food provides comfort and suppression of uncomfortable feelings. Most of us were taught to suppress emotions or keep them hidden, so we developed ways to make that easier. Devouring food is one of those coping strategies.
The best way to heal out of this is to process and release the emotions that are stored in your body. Emotions are just information traveling through your body, once they are acknowledged and allowed to run their course they will dissipate. When we shove them down that’s when they can get bigger than life and increase in intensity.
Hypnotherapy is a fantastic tool for resolving suppressed emotions and increasing your emotional intelligence (EQ) so that you can deal with them better in the moment they arise. I use several fun tools for this in my practice. One is to imagine them as shapes and dialogue with them and morph them into something positive. Another is to connect to a tree that is a mirror of your energy and clean up the dead leaves that represent these emotions. Allowing positive, vibrant ones to grow.
And as with any session, using custom affirmations to instill the eating habits you desire in your subconscious mind. That way when you feel the urge to eat to suppress your emotions there will be a voice in your head supporting you in doing a more beneficial activity.
Generational Trauma
Our parents disapprove of or invalidate us in the ways that they were disapproved of or invalidated by their parents. This is what creates generational trauma and repetition of the same patterns in families until someone becomes a cycle breaker.

This kind of trauma heavily resides in our subconscious minds. As children we decide things about ourselves and then live our whole lives in those beliefs and patterns. Those beliefs originally were developed out of survival needs to stay attached to our caregivers, but as adults they harm us and keep us from getting our needs filled.
For example - If your caregiver constantly told you to be quiet and children should be seen not heard, you determine that you need to keep quiet to keep your attachment to your parent and get your survival needs met. Your subconscious then takes this in as a belief that you are only lovable or accepted when you’re quiet and don’t bother others. This plays out in adulthood as not being able to speak up for your needs and often getting taken advantage of in relationships.
Is Past Life Regression Real?
Past lives, are they real? If you believe it is, then it is real for you. If it isn’t in your belief system then it isn’t real for you. But in the end, does it even matter if it is real or not?
I propose that it doesn’t matter. What’s important is if doing a past life regression hypnotherapy session helps you. For the majority of people it does.

The hush-hush topic of sex
This is one I will keep bringing up, because it’s my job to create a safe space for people to talk about all that ails them. Sex is a difficult one for many. Goodness knows it’s one I myself have delved deep into and had lots to heal around like many of you.
So, yes there is online hypnotherapy for sex and yes, I do work with clients and their sex struggles. Diving into the beliefs around sex, reversing sexual trauma, low libido, and much more can be healed in hypnosis.

The more traditional talk therapies have some level of base rate because the therapist needs to make a living, so that they can continue doing the work and helping people.
